In 2008, Childhood's Dream was delighted to be the sponsor of the Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market Father Christmas Grotto.

This year we are taking our sponsorship one stage further and taking over the day to day management of the Grotto, organising the queues and providing Father Christmas' gifts for the children.

We are expecting up to 2,000 visitors to Father Christmas this year and each child will receive a gift bag that will include a small wooden toy from our shop and a chocolate provided by the Alresford Chocolate Company. Spaces are limited and while you can pay on the day, we recommend that you book in advance to avoid disappointment. Tickets are available from the Cathedral Box Office (Tel: 01962 857 275).

The Grotto is positioned next to the War Memorial and opposite the main doors of the Cathedral. Next to it will be Childhood's Dream's Christmas toyshop. We will have many special toys here for sale, many of which have been specially sourced for the Christmas Market. These include Haba Christmas Toys and Gifts specially imported from Germany.

There will also be many soft toys as well as wooden toys on sale, including an extended selection of George Luck Jigsaws, Kathe Kruse Dolls, Lilliputiens play sets and Moulin Roty cuddlies.
